| PREPARATION |
Presentations should contain large sized, dot points, and be easy
to read from a distance.
Dark colors on a simple light background work best.
A lot a text on a single page will distract the audience from
what the speaker is saying.
Graphics should be clear, load quickly and be viewable from a
distance.
Animations should be embedded in the file, and not access outside
links. |
The poster provides an
opportunity to illustrate and highlight the key points of your
written paper. It is suggested that while preparing the material for
your poster you give careful consideration to the amount and detail
of the material to be included, and to its positioning on the
poster. Use of photos, and other images along with innovative use of
colour will enhance the appeal of your poster and encourage
Symposium delegates to read your paper.
It is suggested that
prior to finalising your poster, you check that:
All text and graphics can be read from a distance of at least 1m
with attention to:
- Size and position
- Use of colour
- Readability
- Contrast
- Graphics and tables are not overly complex and can be read and
absorbed in a reasonable time.
