  • We must receive your abstract by September 9. If it is late, it will not be able to be included in the CD. This is a firm deadline so that we can make the CDs available at the conference.

  • If you exceed these limits, we might have to omit your document from the CD and/or printed volume.

    • Your pdf file must not exceed 3 Mb (6 Mb for invited speakers).

    • Your document must not exceed 8 pages (16 for invited speakers).

    • If you exceed these limits, we might have to omit your document from the CD and/or printed volume.

    • Your formatted document must comply with the conference formatting.

    • Your extended abstract is expected to have been internally reviewed.

  • Submission of extended abstracts is restricted to registered and paid participants only.

    Abstract submissions(for the Conference Volume and Presentations)  have now closed, and all submitting authors should have received an email confirming the acceptance of their presentations. All ORAL presentions have been sent an additional emai.
    We are currently working on the Abstract Volume for the conference, so you may be contacted to re-submit your abstract if there are formatting issues.

    Please note that the format of this conference is via poster presentation, with selected oral speakers.

    All presentors must confirm their intention to present by 8 September. You can do this by sending an email to the Abstracts and Poster Manager at m.wiseman@bom.gov.au

     with the following details

    • Title of Abstract
    • Registered  Author
    • Presenting Author (if different to Registered Author)

    There must be at least ONE FULLY REGISTERED author on your poster.

    If you are not attending, but have registered and paid: and would like your Abstracts to be mailed, please ensure to email your name and postal address to the Abstracts Manager  (m.wiseman@bom.gov.au) as these details are not required in the registration process.

    In order to have your abstract included in the Conference Volume, and allocated a place in the program, an author in your abstract must be registered by 1 August 2009.

    Poster presentations: ALL poster authors are requested to confirm thier intention to present a poster by 8 September: to the email address m.wiseman@bom.gov.au REGARDLESS IF THEY HAVE NOT YET REGISTERED.

    The format of this Symposium will follow that of the 4th Prague meeting which allowed for a
    selection of review papers, supported by poster sessions and some oral presentations.

    Please note: the invitation to submit an abstract does not constitute an offer to pay travel, accommodation or registration costs associated with the conference. Similarly, no speaker fee is paid to successful participants.
    All speakers must register for the conference and forward the appropriate registration fee before September 1 2009.

    Poster Presentations: Poster presentations are the largest part of the program.

    Oral Presentations and Extended Abstracts:
    Authors of oral presentations will still be asked to contribute to the web-based
    proceedings of the conference by submitting an extended abstract. All extended
    abstracts are to be submitted electronically and will be available on-line via the Web.
    Instructions for formatting extended abstracts for the conference web site will be posted
    on this Web site.
