Guidelines for submitting an abstract

The 5th WMO International Conference on Data Assimilation will be calling for Abstracts from October 1, 2008.
You can submit your abstract via the 'submit now' link on these pages.

Deadline for short abstracts, including poster abstracts is March 31, 2009.

The format of this Symposium will follow that of the 4th Prague meeting which allowed for a
selection of review papers, supported by poster sessions and some oral presentations.

Abstract layout for completing your Online submission:-

PAPER TITLE: Arial, 12pt.
AUTHOR/S: Arial, 10pt.
Full Name (SURNAME/FAMILY NAME to be in CAPITALS).
Bold all presenters 
e.g. Peter STEINLE and Jeffrey P. WALKER
ORGANIZATION / AFFILIATION: Arial, 10pt, italics.
Organizations to be numbered in superscript to indicate association with authors.
EMAIL of presenting author Arial, 10pt.
ABSTRACT TEXT Arial, 12pt, single column.

Maximum 300 words.
No graphics, equations, tables or color. The Abstracts volume will be black and white.

To complete the online abstract submission, the following information is required:

Please note: the invitation to submit an abstract does not constitute an offer to pay travel, accommodation or registration costs associated with the conference. Similarly, no speaker fee is paid to successful participants.
All speakers must register for the conference and forward the appropriate registration fee before September 1 2009.

Poster Presentations: Poster presentations are the largest part of the program.

Review and Oral Presentations: The Scientific Organizing Committee will provide
advice on the keynote presentations.

Confirmation of submission
Immediately following successful submission, you will receive confirmation via email.
Outcome of submission:
Authors of accepted presentations will be notified (via e-mail) by June 30, 2009

Oral Presentations and Extended Abstracts:
Authors of oral presentations will still be asked to contribute to the web-based
proceedings of the conference by submitting an extended abstract. All extended
abstracts are to be submitted electronically and will be available on-line via the Web.
Instructions for formatting extended abstracts for the conference web site will be posted
on this Web site.
